This week the annual migration of students to their computers for required state testing takes place. Students will share their knowledge about skills in Reading, Math and Science. Some will handle it with ease. Some will struggle with this form of showing what they know and it all adds up to a score that represents our school. These numbers are reviewed every year for their value as well as helping to determine either strengths/weaknesses of the school’s educational program. Six or seven total hours are spent by each child, the equivalency of one school day. Through this narrow lens we are all defined. Some say fair, some not. Do you remember your scores?
